Cultivating Interdisciplinary Scholars
In terms of early-career engagement, SkAI is committed to developing a robust approach to cultivating interdisciplinary postdoctoral researchers. Through a competitive postdoctoral recruitment, a structured mentoring program (individual and peer), and encouraging active engagement in research and events, SkAI is cultivating early-career scholars who can bridge astronomy and AI.
Mentoring and Professional Development
SkAI’s mentoring and professional development framework focuses on providing cross-disciplinary and multilevel mentorship for early-career researchers, with a focus on postdocs, but does include graduate students. The aim is to help early-career scientists build connections and fully integrate support throughout the SkAI community. This is done through the following ways.
