Join Us

Sign up for email updates from the NSF-Simons Foundation-funded SkAI Institute. We have several options, depending on your level of interest.

SkAI Affiliates are experts, emerging experts, researchers, scientists, and educator-practitioners at the nexus of astronomy, AI, and other disciplines, who are working on interdisciplinary projects that align with the SkAI Institute’s three core research pillars.

SkAI Enthusiasts are those who are interested in this interdisciplinary and complex intersection of Astro and AI and would like to learn more through different events, such as SkAI Institute public talks, Adler Planetarium’s Astronomy Conversations, the SkAI Annual Conference, and other such events. To be a SkAI Enthusiast, one does not need to demonstrate a research area of interest.

In addition to the research that the SkAI Institute is facilitating, SkAI is also bringing together scientists, researchers, and creatives to explore the intersection of art and science. If you are a creative and looking to explore these connections and/or you are interested in being updated with relevant events, sign up for the SkAI Creatives listserv.

Finally, consider also being a SkAI Champion. For those from other institutions/organizations, industry representatives, as well as other sectors, SkAI Champions are passionate about amplifying the work of the SkAI Institute and the SkAI Affiliates to different audiences.

The SkAI Institute is one of the National Artificial Intelligence Research Institutes funded by the U.S. National Science Foundation and Simons Foundation.
Information on National AI Institutes is available at aiinstitutes.org.
