NSF and Simons Foundation to Sponsor National AI Institutes in Astronomy

Joint sponsorship will fund up to two national institutes

The National Science Foundation (NSF) and the Simons Foundation Division of Mathematics and Physical Sciences have announced that they will jointly sponsor “up to two national AI research institutes in the astronomical sciences”, according to a solicitation posted by the Simons Foundation.
